Images inside the code

Ma ville en quatre temps combines images encoded as Base64 with code-based elements. Compression, roughness, distortion and pixelation are part of the process: these imperfections blend with textures to form the finished high-resolution image.

HTML gives the writing a place within the work. Notes embedded in the header are a core reason Lemonhaze continues to use the format: the image and the text belong together.

The series was part of Continuum, The Forever Calendar, presented by Gamma at Inscribing Vegas 2025. Its four seasonal titles move through winter nights, summer in Montreal, a return to class, and autumn.
