Privacy policy
This policy explains how Lemonhaze handles personal information on lemonhaze.com, in the Print Shop, and when you contact the studio.
Who is responsible
Lemonhaze’s studio owner is responsible for personal information. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject, or use the contact details below.
What is collected, and why
- Browsing: hosting and security services process technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times to deliver the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
- Preferences: the site stores your background preference, saved palette favourites and basket selections locally in your browser to remember your choices.
- Orders, when checkout is available: Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address and payment details to process payment and delivery. A phone number is collected for international delivery, or when required by the delivery option. The studio accesses the information needed for fulfilment, support, fraud prevention and accounting.
- Order records: the shop database keeps artwork selections, quantities, totals, destination country, status, timestamps, order and Stripe references, and a protected browser identifier. It does not keep a separate copy of your card details or delivery address. References and identifiers can still be linked to an order; they are not anonymous data.
- Messages: when you email the studio, your email address and the information you send are used to respond and resolve your enquiry.
Required checkout information is needed to complete and deliver an order. You can browse without placing an order. A purchase does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
Service providers and other websites
Cloudflare provides hosting and security, including the checkout security check and order database. Stripe processes payments and holds checkout information. Proton handles studio email. Necessary recipient and delivery details are shared with the carrier used for your order. Information may also be disclosed when legally required.
These providers may process or store information outside Québec or Canada, where different laws may apply.
Fonts, artwork media and interactive artwork can load from external providers, including Google Fonts and artwork gateways. Loading that content sends technical information, such as your IP address, to the provider. External sites and marketplaces have their own privacy practices.
Cookies and browser storage
The shop uses a protected checkout cookie, with a seven-day lifetime, to associate a checkout with your browser. Security services may also use necessary cookies. The basket, presentation preference and palette favourites use local storage and remain until changed or cleared.
You can clear cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so removes saved choices and may prevent this browser from retrieving a checkout; keep your order reference. Blocking necessary storage or security checks may prevent checkout from working.
Protection and retention
Production connections use HTTPS. Payment and order services provide encryption and access controls. Access to order information is limited to studio fulfilment, support and administration needs. Encryption does not prevent authorized providers or the studio from accessing information needed for those tasks. Ordinary support email is not necessarily end-to-end encrypted; do not send card details or passwords by email.
Information is retained for the purpose it was collected: responding to enquiries, completing orders and handling delivery issues. Some transaction records must be kept longer for accounting, tax, disputes or other legal obligations. Records no longer needed are deleted or anonymized, subject to those obligations and provider backup retention. Contact the studio for the retention details applicable to your record.
Your choices and rights
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about deletion, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Legal recordkeeping requirements may limit deletion, and withdrawing information needed for an unfulfilled order may affect delivery. Where applicable, you may request a portable copy of computerized personal information collected from you.
The studio may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity before responding. Please send only what is necessary. You can also raise a concern with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
Policy changes
This page will be updated when the site’s practices change. Material changes will be explained here and, where required, communicated directly before the new use of information.
