Each descendant remembers its ancestor

Deville combines AI, Krita and p5.js. Each work recursively references its ancestor creature from Cypherville, while the HTML header preserves that creature’s original February–March 2023 description.

The relationship is both visual and written: the earlier creature is referenced inside the later inscription, and its description travels with it.

A gift to the creature’s keeper

For Cypherville’s second anniversary in February 2025, Lemonhaze announced the final batch of DeVille works, together with unclaimed works from 2024. Each was to go to the address holding its corresponding creature—a gesture to the collectors who had accompanied the project.
