Old and new tools together
Primitive documents small, digitally hand-drawn compositions upscaled and textured with p5.js. Its header identifies the original 288 × 512 sketch inside the code as Base64, alongside a high-resolution export.
Coral marks the pleasure of drawing by hand again after a period focused on code, bringing old and new tools together. Printemps closes the series with each work as a snapshot of introspection, inspiration and personal reflection.
La Carte · Work and its rewards
La Carte refers to the time cards once used by workers. Its abstraction draws on a vague visual memory of those cards.
The inscription’s note begins with something Lemonhaze’s father used to tell him: work hard, then reap the fruits of your labour. The artist follows it with a question—does that promise really hold for workers? A familiar object becomes a way to revisit an inherited belief.
