Marijuana retailers should jump on the Amazon Prime Day Bandwagon

Amazon Prime Day is coming soon! Prime Day is just like the other 364 days of the year where consumers flock to Amazon to acquire more possessions. The only difference is that on Prime Day, people spend even more money...because it's a holiday and the Amazon retail PR machine is in full force. By the time Prime Day arrives, millions of shoppers are anxious with FOMO.

Last year, many large retailers hopped onto the Prime Day train and offered their own deals, including Walmart & Target. That's because Amazon has successfully sucked the wind out of so many retail operations, these shops want the opportunity to grab some marketshare as well.

According to the internet rumors, Amazon Prime Day this year will take place on July 16th.

This is EXCELLENT news for marijuana retailers. Here's why: last year, Amazon Prime Day was on July 10th/11th, overlapping with OIL day...which is a cannabis holiday, like 4/20. That made it challenging for retailers to run concurrent sales events; Prime Day + OIL Day. However, per the speculation that Prime Day is the 16th, that means retailers can have their cake and eat it too!

So, if you are a marijuana retailer, we recommend taking advantage of the retail powers that will be in full force during Amazon Prime Day. After all, we are based in WA State with many retailers operating in King County, Amazon county!
